The Mixars DUO MK2 is a 2-channel DJ mixer designed for scratch DJs. The DUO MK2 Mixer features a brand-new, professional-grade Galileo Essential crossfader, optimised for scratching capabilities. The Mixars DUO MK2 builds on the success of the original, retaining most functionality while optimising and improving the performance for scratch DJs. As well as the crossfader, the DUO MKII also features a range of performance controls including 8 RGB performance pads, looping control and dedicated control for Serato DJ’s FX. The mixer also features an integrated audio interface boasting 24-bit/96kHz audio fidelity for studio-grade recordings. There is also crossfader reverse and curve adjustment for added versatility.
Galileo Essential Crossfader
Building on the success of the original Mixars DUO mixer, the DUO MK2 retains all the same functionality with the addition of the professional-grade Galileo Essential crossfader. This high-end crossfader is optimised for Scratch DJs, providing a smooth and clean operation, highly favourable for scratching performances. The essential fader provides exceptional durability for optimal longevity, ensuring its built-to-last. The crossfader is based on new, third-generation CXP plastic conductive track technology. This technology provides a smoother operation, and the sloped fader caps means you can easily clean the fader. The firm control and smooth feel when blending between channels makes it ideal for everything from crab scratches to flares and more.
Integrated Audio Interface & Performance Pads
As well as being ideal for scratching, the mixer also provides you with eight RGB performance pads. These robust performance pads are ideal for controlling cues and samples, adding a new flare to your performances. They can also be great for trigger one-shot samples such as transition FX or DJ drops. The mixer also features built-in FX for triggering pad FX, allowing you to add reverbs, delays and more to your sets. The DUO MK2 also features an integrated audio interface, boasting sample rates up to 24-bit/96kHz. This integrated interface is ideal for capturing your performances directly from the mixer. The high sample rate also means you can capture your sets in pristine quality, capturing every cut and mix with exceptional precision.
In-Depth Controls
In addition to the performance pads, the mixer also boasts dedicated adjustment controls for the crossfader. Options available include: Reverbs, Curve and Cut-In. These controls allow you to cater to your own requirements and style. They can also be used to experiment and broaden your skills. The channel faders also features reverse and curve adjustments as well for added flexibility. The sampler on the mixer features its own dedicated volume control, as well as dual controls for looping. Tone and Booth rotary controls are also included.
Design & Connectivity
The ultra-compact yet powerful design of the Mixars DUO MKII, makes it ideal for the DJ on the move. The plug-and-play capability and built-in audio interface accentuates its portable design, allowing you to setup and record wherever you are. Each channel on the mixer features a 3-band EQ for smooth transitions when it comes to mixing. It also includes and a high-pass/low-pass filter with its own rotary control for added versatility. The mixer boasts XLR Master and ¼-inch booth outputs as well as Master and Record RCA outputs. It also features a switchable Mic/Aux Input for switching between the two sources.
