The RCF SUB 18-AX is show-ready in just a few steps – simply connect your satellite speakers, select the crossover preset via the digital interface or smartphone app, and the system is ready to go. FiRPHASE linear phase correction extends down to the lowest frequencies, while ACE technology broadens the frequency range, transforming a sub+top system into a factory-tuned 3-way setup. This enhances bass impact, reduces distortion, and ensures precise, consistent audio performance across various venues.

The RCF LiveRemote App is available with the SUB AX series – crossover preset selection, system EQ and delay adjustments, and crossover individual settings are easily accessible from your mobile device. For twice the power, pair two subwoofer models together via the app for 2.2 operation!

The RCF SUB 18-AX cabinet is constructed from high-quality multi-ply hardwood coated with a rugged black polyurea finish. The SUB AX speakers are stackable and lightweight, have ergonomic rubber handles grips , and are easily set-up and torn-down. SUB AX subwoofers can also support various sized RCF speakers thanks to the M20 threaded pole mounted installed on top of the cabinet. The powder-coated front grille features a special transparent-to-sound foam backing on the inside, providing additional protection for the transducers against dust. Built to last, the SUB AX Series subwoofers feature powerCON® TRUE1 TOP mains connectors, ensuring they withstand the rigors of use and transport.

Lightweight yet powerful, RCF woofers are renowned for high performance. RCF Precision Transducers engineers have developed specific magnet sizes and moulds to optimise magnetic flux while keeping weight low. The magnetic circuit topology ensures peak performance in three key areas: consistent, high-integrity magnetic flux gap, exceptionally low distortion, and efficient integration of the magnetic circuit in a minimal weight design. The optimised T-pole design minimises flux modulation in the magnetic assembly during typical voice coil movement within the gap.

RCF’s 2200 Watt Class-D amplifier handles extreme sound pressure levels with quick response, realistic transient handling, and minimal heat loss. The stereo input circuit has low distortion and an advanced safety limiter, preserving the input signal’s true character at all levels. RCF amplifiers meet EN62368-1 safety standards and feature a Switch Mode Power Supply for high efficiency with minimum weight.

When seeking extended bass and enhanced performance, RCF engineers replaced the high-pass filter with an innovative solution: BMC (Bass Motion Control). This advanced feature manages woofer excursion, allowing the speaker to handle the lowest audible frequencies without sacrificing stability, linearity, or sound integrity.

BMC works by creating a complete map of the woofer’s dynamic behaviour and generating a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions, providing the transducer with complete freedom for signal reproduction. Unlike high-pass filters that protect the woofer but alter the phase behaviour, the new BMC algorithm offers a ground-breaking approach.
